Winter Full Moon Hiking
A night hike in winter is particularly appealing because the snow surface reflects the moonlight excellently. We will have headlamps with us, but most of the time they stay switched off in the backpack.
We experience clear full moon nights more often in winter than in summer, so there is ample opportunity to venture out into the wintry night.
The full moon bathes the snow-covered mountains in an enchanting light. In the valley, the lights of the villages and the illuminated church towers glitter. Above us the brightest stars that surpass the moonlight. An almost mystical silence surrounds us. We experience the moment intensely with all our senses.
