When playing golf on a challenging course framed by a magnificent mountain panorama, I can wonderfully switch off and recharge my batteries. A subsequent hiking tour up some of these mountains was the crowning glory of my vacation. Very creative combination offer from Slow Alps – warmly recommended for everyone who wants to combine mountains and golf in a skilful way.
I have already experienced many tour guides – with Lutz, I particularly liked the fact that he always realizes varied tours with exciting highlights, but never too extreme or demanding. Each time it was clear to see that he had given a lot of thought to the optimal route. Then everything was right: sunshine, a pleasant mix of challenge and relaxation and the culinary hut experiences. Even weeks later, the grandiose panorama and the intense nature experiences have had a stimulating effect on me. I’m already looking forward to the next tour!
We had an awesome week with Lutz. He immediately sensed that I like to go the famous extra mile. He then planned this into the routes so cleverly that the rest of the group was not overwhelmed. I was able to really exhaust myself at his side.
Thanks! Slow Alps is a straight recommendation.
To experience the Bavarian tradition of setting up the maypole on May 1st on a bike tour through the Bavarian foothills of the Alps was a great experience. And that in several places! Lutz brilliantly put together the route from one maypole festival to the next, including a visit to a craft beer brewery. And all of this always against the beautiful mountain backdrop of the Alps. Definitely again next year!
As a hiking beginner, I was able to tell Lutz everything I would like to experience for the tour planning and also confidently describe my fears and uncertainties. He put together a great program and kept encouraging me to leave my comfort zone every now and then. I was rewarded with a relaxed end to the tour with a spa day and swimming in Lake Millstatt.
“Slow Alps” at its best!
Whenever we’re on tour with Lutz, I know we will go an extraordinary route and still arrive back safely in the valley or at the hut. It is always a pleasure for me to be on tour with Lutz, whether in summer or winter. His calm manner and good conversations make every trip with him a truly relaxing venture!
I was most impressed by the cozy mountain huts. You feel like you’ve been transported back centuries. And then you are completely surprised and carried away by how amazingly delicious the simple local dishes taste that the hut landlady conjures up on the table. Slow Alps really takes you to the remotest corners of the Alps, where people still live in harmony with nature.
Whoever is looking for me often finds me in the great outdoors. Pure relaxation with a sporty challenge in gorgeous natural settings make me just happy. Finding the right tour…not always easy… I can find all of this on tours with Lutz. He is an excellent guide, as he himself comes from a competitive sports background and has a wide range of knowledge about outdoor tours. Discussion topics about training intensity, talking shop about the pros and cons of nutritional supplements and healthy eating round out a wonderful outdoor program.
I can recommend Lutz and his tours without reservation.
It has always been my dream to cross the Alps by bike. But a pseudo-Transalp offered by the numerous larger outdoor organizers, where you are often chauffeured most of the way in a minibus on the road, was out of the question for me. With Slow Alps I did an authentic real Transalp – on alternative routes far away from the usual Transalp circus. With an e-bike, admitted, but every kilometer in the saddle.
Many thanks to Lutz, my perfect personal guide!
We were allowed to pound through the hilly Chiemgau with very well equipped mountain bikes and reached dreamlike lakes via flowing single trails through meadows and forests. Lutz had put this tour together fantastically and tailored it perfectly to our needs and our level. We had time to play spike-ball and go swimming before we stopped at a hidden, old and authentic inn on our way home, where we had Bavarian wheat beer and Obazda, of course, but also cappuccino with vanilla ice cream wasn’t missing. It was the perfect mix of sporting activity and Bavarian culinary delights, and so uncomplicated!
I can only enjoy the mountains to the full if I feel safe at all times during the tour. That was always the case under Lutz’s leadership, and we had a lot of fun on all tour days. Lutz also impressed me with his experience in organizing trips in the mountains on a sustainable basis, and he naturally also made appropriate offers, e.g. for arrival/departure, stage movements, choice of accommodation …
The experience was super and very relaxed! Gladly again!
